Battling Repetitive Sin for Men
How to Stop Making the Same Mistakes
When we were children, it usually only took once touching the lit stove to understand our mistake. It was very hot, and the result was a burnt finger—and a lesson learned. So why do Christian men continue to make the same mistakes in their spiritual life? More importantly, why do we allow that sin to control us and define who we are?
Proverbs 24:16 says, “For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.” This verse is good news for men; it means we don’t have to be perfect. However, we do need to put on the full armor of God and battle our sin head on, with Christ in our corner—the only true source of redemption from sin.
