Twenty Lessons That Build a Man's Fitness: A Conversational Mentoring Guide
Helping Men Run the Race Well
Fitness and physical activity are a natural part of life. The Bible alludes to fitness, competition, and physical achievement in many places—with the caveat that it should complement, not dominate, over your spiritual wellness.
Paul even used a metaphor regarding fitness when he wrote to the church in Corinth and did a masterful job intertwining the importance of physical and spiritual care.
1 Corinthians 9:24-25 says, “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.”
